Responsibilities:

• Promote and cross-sell the bank products and services by assisting customers in selecting financial solutions to meet their needs.

• Perform safe deposit duties, including opening accounts, controlling access, assisting customers, and accepting rental payments.

• Receive and place stop payment requests, check recorders, and wire transfer requests.

• Make decisions regarding the opening of new accounts, complete forms requiring customer signatures, accept initial deposits, and prepare necessary documents for checking accounts, savings accounts, and certificates of deposit.

• Review job-related reports and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

• Follow bank policies and procedures to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.

• Provide assistance to the Office Manager when needed.

• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures.

• Answer phones and direct callers to appropriate bank personnel.

• Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved in their area.

• Receive retail and commercial checking and savings deposits, ensuring all necessary documents are in proper form and issuing receipts.

• Cash checks, process savings withdrawals, and make cash advances, verifying that all necessary documents are properly authorized and within authorized limits.

• Assist with night depository duties, including logging bags, processing deposits, making change orders, issuing receipts, and returning bags to customers.

• May assist in opening and closing the vault daily and help balance vault currency and coin.

• Accept loan, installment, and collection payments.

• Balance the cash drawer daily and verify cash being returned to the vault.

• Consistently maintain account exceptions at less than 30 days.

• Comply with all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements, including the timely completion of assigned training.

Secondary Duties:

• Perform duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned by management.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2-3 years of related experience in a financial institution.
