Business Partner Collaboration:
Engage directly with business partners to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and develop effective systems solutions tailored to business needs.
Agile Story Development:
Translate business concepts into detailed Agile stories in collaboration with technical leads. Evaluate the feasibility of new ideas and ensure alignment with project goals.
Mentorship & Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering growth and alignment with strategic objectives.
Current and Future State Documentation:
Lead interviews and workshops with business stakeholders to analyze, document, and model current and future business processes alongside product owners.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Become a go-to expert on systems, processes, and data structures. Offer support and training to end users and IT staff when necessary.
Modeling & Documentation:
Create business and technical documentation using tools such as user stories, use cases, journey maps, business process flows, and system flow diagrams.
UI/UX Collaboration:
Partner with UI/UX teams to develop workflows and wireframes, supporting the design of user-friendly solutions from concept to execution.
Data Governance Support:
Contribute to enterprise data governance initiatives by mapping data sources, defining data intent, context, and lineage.
Risk & Compliance Awareness:
Apply knowledge of risk, compliance, and governance principles from large financial institutions to inform business and system decisions.
Documentation Review & Enhancement:
Assess current documentation for systems and applications and enhance as needed to maintain clarity and consistency.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in operational roles within banking.
Bachelor degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
Strong proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation using diverse techniques and modeling tools.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and cloud-based environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Lucidchart, and other business analysis tools.
Hands-on experience with SQL, data structures, and report generation; PowerBI and scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
Strong understanding of UX tools and artifacts like journey diagrams, site maps, and wireframes.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
Entry to intermediate understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex business problems using critical thinking.
