Position: Lead Business Execution Consultant - Corporate Governance
Location: New York City, NY
Responsibilities:
Manage Strategic Initiatives: Lead and execute on Corporate Governance deliverables by collaborating with functional teams to strategize and plan.
Thought Leadership & Relationship Building: Demonstrate leadership to strengthen relationships and influence business leaders and stakeholders in governance matters.
Logistical Support: Assist with the Corporate Responsibility Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee by drafting agendas, setting timelines, distributing materials, and drafting minutes.
Board Onboarding/Offboarding: Coordinate with other teams for director and executive officer onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions.
Governance Research & Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking and research to support the Governance and Nominating Committee review of governance matters.
Corporate Secretarial Support: Address information requests from various stakeholders, including providing Secretary Certificates for transactions and submitting NYSE affirmations under legal oversight.
Legal Department Support: Provide support to attorneys, developing subject matter expertise in specialized areas of law and managing complex assignments.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with risk, compliance, audit, and internal partners to resolve inquiries and address issues that impact multiple business lines.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that could impact the enterprise, ensuring timely escalation of significant matters.
Process Improvement: Lead initiatives within the Legal Department, driving process improvements and enhancing key processes.
Project Management: Manage projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and goals are achieved while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Executive Communication: Work closely with executive leadership, demonstrating strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to address corporate governance matters.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated experience through work experience, training, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters for public companies.
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a corporate office environment.
Proficiency with tools like Diligent and SharePoint.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional strategic initiatives.
Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong project management skills with a focus on high-quality results under pressure.
