Position: Know Your Customer (KYC) Officer
Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client and partner expectations: Deliver a consultative approach to ensure clear communication, transparency, and understanding throughout the KYC/AML process.

  • Own the end-to-end client experience: Take full responsibility for KYC/AML processes while ensuring a positive and efficient experience for both clients and internal partners.

  • Ensure compliance and accountability: Track KYC/AML deliverables rigorously and hold internal stakeholders accountable for timely and accurate submissions.

  • Address inefficiencies: Maintain deep knowledge of the KYC/AML process and identify delays or process breakdowns, taking proactive measures to resolve them.

  • Mitigate operational risk: Remain vigilant of potential risk points within processes and take steps to escalate and address them appropriately.

  • Support relationship managers: Aid bankers during the client selection phase to assess and manage client-related risk effectively.

  • Oversee due diligence renewals: Independently manage the renewal cycle of Due Diligence Forms, ensuring alignment with Relationship Management and compliance timelines.

  • Maintain quality and timeliness: Be responsible for accurate portfolio management, ensuring both speed and quality in deliverables and record-keeping.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills:

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in financial services.

  • Ability to properly assess and apply AML/KYC policy principles to real-world scenarios.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and client-facing discussions.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to balance competing priorities.

  • Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%) to support cross-regional client teams.
